General Conditions

I. General indications

  1. By requesting enrollment in the workshop, the participant declares that they are aware of and accept these General Conditions and declares that they have thoroughly reviewed the documentation relating to the presentation of the workshop, that they have understood its structure and that they accept it. These "General Conditions" define the guidelines of the educational service offered by YAC s.r.l. (hereinafter referred to as "Yacademy" or the "School");
  2. The official language of the workshop is English;
  3. Workshops are offered on a limited enrollment basis (maximum 15 students) and admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis (there are no selections or rankings), as specified in section IV;
  4. Yacademy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to make changes to the workshop schedule and program for the better organization of the activities. Any such changes will be communicated to students in advance;
  5. The workshops are exclusively held online (see section II);
  6. The workshops include 5 weekly sessions (one per week), each lasting approximately 3 hours, held by the indicated teacher and/or their collaborators;
  7. Throughout the 5 sessions, the students will:
    1. Attend theoretical lectures related to the workshop topic;
    2. Develop an individual project through progressive assignments aimed at developing specific and advanced skills related to the workshop topic;
    3. Receive personal feedback from the teachers on the assigned tasks and attend the reviews of other students' work;
    4. Have the opportunity to ask questions and interact directly with the teachers.
  8. The day and time of each session will be determined by the teachers once the class has been formed, also taking into account the students' geographical areas of origin.
  9. At the end of each workshop, Yacademy will issue a certificate of attendance.
  10. In order to receive the certificate of attendance, students must obtain eligibility at the sole discretion of the head Tutor of the workshop, based on the student's attendance and individual project.

II. Attendance Mode (online)

  1. The 5 sessions included in the program are exclusively held online;
  2. Classes will be available through a dedicated web application; therefore each student is required to have a computer with internet connection; students attending the workshop live, will be able to ask questions and interact with the lecturers in ways compatible with the nature of the lesson;
  3. Students are granted access to lecture recordings exclusively for the duration of the workshop. The recording, sharing, or distribution of these materials for any purpose is strictly prohibited.

III. Requirements

  1. Pre-intermediate knowledge of English (at least B1 level);
  2. Completion of the registration procedure as described in section V;
  3. Completion of the enrollment fee payment.

IV. Admission

  1. Any participant who meets the requirements referred to in section III above may be admitted to the workshops – there are no rankings or evaluations of the participant's profile; anyone may access the workshops within the maximum number of participants established for each workshop, as indicated in section I.
  2. Enrollments may take place exclusively during the period indicated in the calendar;
  3. Students are admitted in order of enrollment until all available spots are filled;
  4. Students who have completed the pre-registration may finalize their enrollment 24 hours before the opening of the standard enrollments, in accordance with the calendar.

V. Enrollment

  1. Wait for the enrollment week;
  2. Access Yacademy's website onlineworkshop.yacademy.it;
  3. Complete the registration form by filling out all of the mandatory fields;
  4. If possible (i.e. if spots are still available), pay the enrollment fee of €970 via PayPal or bank wire (following the instructions provided on the website);
  5. Within 24 hours of sending confirmation of payment, participants will be contacted by the staff at Yacademy to confirm their enrollment.

VI. Pre-registration

  1. Participants who wish to secure priority in the enrollment are given the opportunity to complete a pre-registration, which will guarantee them priority access to the workshop enrollment phase.
  2. Pre-registration may be completed at any time from the publication of the workshop until the enrollment week.
  3. Pre-registration allows pre-registered participants to enroll in the workshop 24 hours before the standard opening of enrollment (see calendar), thereby obtaining priority access to the available spots.
  4. The completion of enrollment for pre-registered participants will take place after receiving a reserved link granting access to enrollment 24 hours before the standard opening of enrollment.
  5. Should a pre-registered participant be unable to complete enrollment due to the workshop reaching the maximum number of participants, the pre-registration fee may either be frozen for a future edition of the workshop or refunded.

In order to pre-register and obtain priority access to enrollment, participants must complete the following steps:

  1. Access Yacademy's website onlineworkshop.yacademy.it;
  2. Complete the registration form by filling in all mandatory fields;
  3. Pay the pre-registration fee of € 120.00 via PayPal;
  4. Within 24 hours of sending confirmation of payment of the pre-registration fee, participants will be contacted by the staff at Yacademy to confirm their pre-registration.

VII. Notes

  1. This document, in its entirety, constitutes part of the terms and conditions of the service;
  2. By registering, applicants accept the terms and conditions of the service, namely these General Conditions;
  3. Enrollment fees are non-refundable under any circumstances;
  4. Pre-registration fees are refundable if the pre-registered participant is not admitted to the workshop due to the maximum number of participants having been reached;
  5. Enrollment or pre-registration fees may be paid by third parties, provided that the payment reference correctly identifies the participant.
  6. Yacademy shall not be held liable for any failure in communications due to incorrect contact details provided by the participant, or to failure or delay in notifying any change of address indicated during the online registration, nor for any inconvenience attributable to third parties, fortuitous events, or force majeure.
  7. Should false or mendacious statements, relevant for enrollment, be found in the documentation submitted by the participant, without prejudice to the criminal sanctions set out in Article 76 of Presidential Decree no. 445 of 28 December 2000, the applicant shall forfeit the right to enrollment and shall not be entitled to any refund of the fees paid, without prejudice to YAC s.r.l.'s right to terminate the contract pursuant to Article 1456 of the Italian Civil Code. Any false or mendacious statements may also expose the participant to claims for damages by interested third parties, including Yacademy.
  8. Participants shall be responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of the data provided, including personal data, and Yacademy shall not be held liable for the submission of false information. In any case, Yacademy, in compliance with applicable data protection legislation, reserves the right to verify the information provided by requesting a copy of the identity document showing the personal data used during registration.
  9. Access to the workshops and to the services provided by Yacademy may be suspended or definitively terminated, at Yacademy's sole and unquestionable discretion, for any student responsible for serious disciplinary violations or conduct—also outside the academic context—that may directly or indirectly prejudice the decorum, image, or reputation of Yacademy. In such cases, the decision to suspend or exclude the student shall be communicated to the student and shall not entitle the student to any refund of the amounts already paid, except if otherwise provided by law.
  10. Each participant may enrol for more than one workshop.
  11. Each candidate can complete multiple pre-registrations for several workshops.
  12. Each candidate can complete one single pre-registration for each workshop.
  13. In the event of disputes between Yacademy and a student who cannot be considered a consumer pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 1, letter a) of the Italian Consumer Code, arising directly or indirectly from these General Conditions, Italian law shall apply, and exclusive jurisdiction shall lie with the Court of Bologna.
